Enzymes are cleaving the substrate. If the substrate is DNA they are called restriction enzymes. Activating enzymes will cut off the domain that is biological active to become functional.

Bacterial RNA Polymerase Pyrophosphate Assay Kit (enzyme not included) includes 400 µl of Buffer RP, 33 µl of 100 x DNA, 33 µl of 100 x NTP mix, 5 µl of 1000 x pyrophosphatase and 4500 µl of dye for 100 assays of E. coli RNA polymerase reactions in a 384-well assay format. The assay kit includes all reagents except the enzyme.
